The challenges
A lot of features, but no clear connection between them or the business. Staking wasn’t sustainable, ads were underperforming, and there was no subscription. Most users dropped off before getting any real value.
My role
I led the design direction across the product, with a focus on revenue and monetisation. Working closely with product and engineering, I helped define what we built and made sure it shipped quickly without overcomplicating things.
Making staking fun
The old Jars were typical staking. Lock tokens, get a fixed APY. It worked, but it was passive, not sustainable, and disconnected from the idea of getting people to move.

Create a new Jar
A new approach to Staking
We reworked it into something more interactive and tied to real activity. Your APY now depends on how much you walk, with every 1,000 steps adding to your daily return.
On top of that, boosters earned through engagement, like watching ads, give you extra yield when activated.
Instead of something you set and forget, it became a loop people actually engage with: walk, earn, boost, and keep going.

Unlocking a new revenue stream
There was no subscription, so we built one from scratch. After testing different directions, we landed on a value prop that delivered from day one, then built a dedicated experience for paying users and integrated upsells across the product.

New website & design language
The brand started to feel outdated compared to where the product was going, so we moved towards a more mature direction. Working closely with marketing and our in-house 3D artist, we introduced a new visual language built around custom 3D assets, while I led the overall design direction and implementation.

From an AI assistant to refining existing features
Meet MIA, your personal crypto AI assistant
We built MIA to be more than a chatbot. It handles support, gives recommendations, and can execute on-chain actions directly.
It also helped us clean up onboarding. The previous flow had too many entry points, from activation emails to seed phrases and social logins, and users were getting lost or locked out. MIA gave us a way to guide users more clearly and simplify that experience.

Most visited screen in the app. The old version was a dead end. The new version surfaces a path to other revenue-generating features.

Over two years I worked across the full revenue stack — staking, subscriptions, ads, onboarding, and AI. This case study covers the key bets, but it's just a glimpse of the overall work.
